Mystery of Ancient Pueblo Jars Is Solved

With a title like that, how can you not read the article? Jars found in Chaco Canyon (in northwest New Mexico) were recently shown to have been used to drink chocolate. With the nearest cacao trees at least 1000 miles away, this is more evidence of the extensive trade networks that existed throughout the Americas in ancient times.

It’s a good thing these people never heard of the local food movement.
