Winter Hike

I have always wanted to see what it would be like to go hiking in the winter. Then yesterday I was trying to come up with something to do on New Year’s Day, and it occurred to me that a hike would be a great way to start the year. Ingrid liked the idea, so we’re going to do it. I will have to look in my hiking books to find a good trail.

Winter around here are not very severe. There’s rarely any snow, and temperatures hardly ever go below freezing. On the other hand it’s not going to look anything like the photo below.
